Additional Updates on Health Inspections
Update – We continue to work closely with the Health Department on addressing items that surfaced in their previous inspections and are taking a comprehensive approach in doing so.
At 1920 Commons, we took the time during its spring break closure to both clean and conduct additional inspections. In doing so, we identified the need to address issues with both plumbing and drainage. Attending to these mechanics will make significant contributions in preventing pests from entering the building. Specifically, we have engaged with a plumbing specialist to flush, clean and repair the drains. While most of this work has been completed, there may be additional repairs needed which may require closing 1920 Commons for approximately one day. If that should occur, we will make arrangements to ensure that all our diners can still access their meals in our other locations.
It is also important that we note that these repairs at 1920 Commons are part of a larger plan to improve the building’s infrastructure that was already under way. That project will be undertaken over the summer when the building will be closed for dining.
As for Hill House, staff and management continue to implement the measures previously announced, make improvements, and monitor compliance. No additional issues have been identified and we are awaiting reinspection.
